Who is Reserved actually for?
Riders who want the complete version, everything included, nothing left to arrange. First-timers and returning riders both. Same standard the whole company is built on, with the fullest support team Colombici puts on the road and both founders riding it with the group.
How is this different from a scheduled group departure?
Same route as the standard departure. What changes is what comes with it: the itinerary is curated stage by stage, on and off the bike, the group is capped at eight, and the support team steps up to a 2:1 ratio with a dedicated soigneur, a masseuse, and professional photography. Both founders ride it with the group.
How is Reserved different from a Private tour?
Different trade-off, not a better or worse one. Private runs on your dates, with your own people, at your own level, 1 to 10 riders, on set routes shaped to the group riding them. Reserved runs on a small number of fixed dates a year, up to 8 riders plus the founders, on a set itinerary with everything included. Private gives you the dates. Reserved gives you the complete version.
How many riders join a Reserved departure?
Up to 8 riders, plus the founders, fixed dates, no exceptions either direction. That cap is what makes the 2:1 support ratio and the level of attention on this tier possible in the first place.
What does the media coverage actually include?
Professional photography on the queen stage, plus two further days. Ride data, photos and film are shared with you after the trip. Details are confirmed at inquiry.
How far in advance should I book?
As soon as a date is announced. Reserved runs a few times a year, seats are capped at eight, and once they're gone the departure doesn't reopen or add a second group.
